Icarus started his butchery career as a Saturday boy in Dewhurst at the age of 15. Briefly turning his hand to cooking he attended catering college before returning to the trade he knows and loves. By the age of 24 he had become a regional manager with a host of awards behind him.
He bought the current shop in Cromer, which was then known as Storey’s, and turned it into the Icarus Hines butchers you know and love. Soon after that the opportunity to take over Mac’s of Sheringham came about which gave Icarus the 2 shops we have today.
Both shops in Cromer and Sheringham deal in fresh local game. Venison from down the road at the Gunton Estate and pheasant from near Holt
