Our family have been dealing in Wild Game since 1983. Based in Devon on the edge of Dartmoor Stanbury Game dealers started as a wholesale buisness but have evolved into retail as well. This enables us to sell direct to our customers at local farmers markets and many Food festivals. It was at these markets that regular customers began to ask for game pies. We had been making and serving various game pies for the lunches at our Pheasant shoot here in Devon. With the demand from the markets and feedback from the ‘Guns’ and beaters at the shoot, who told us they wanted to be able to buy the pies, we decided to launch ‘Stanbury Wild Game Pies’ to make our pies available to new customers. We created six delicious recipes which were tried and tested by family, friends and our regular customers. We are driven by customer feedback and customer demand for quality, local, traditional game pies. We now sell our pies at local markets and food festivals and they can be delivered locally or throughout mainland UK. All the meat used is wild and fully traceable. The meat is from our fully licensed and registered business subject to veterinary and local authority inspection. I have created pies that I am happy for my young boys to eat, and they do! I know exactly what is in them, no rubbish, no additives, no preservatives and no artificial flavourings.

Wild Venison, Pheasant, Partridge and Pigeon cooked with Port and finished with a generous spoonful of our own Apple and Elderberry jelly.
