  • We are an award winning fourth generation familty butcher’s and we’ve been operating for over 125 years in the village of Edgworth.

    The key to a good quality butcher is good meat with full traceability, and we are proud of the way that we mature our beef and pork for 28 days.

    The Edgworth Deli stocks a fabulous range of local products with Whitehead’s own cooked meats, free range eggs and local cheeses. The Deli also offers a range of hot and cold sandwiches, all home made-to-order using top quality produce from the shop: with fillings such as our award winning home cured bacon, homemade sausages, home cooked ham, turkey, beef and steak and onion.

    We’ve won awards from our own farm-reared lamb and home cured bacon and we were recently highly commended in the North West Regional finals of the Countryside Alliancec Awards in the butcher category and were shortlisted for Lancashire Rural Business of the Year. In June this year we won Family Business of the Year at the Bolton & Bury Business Awards 2012!
